We were pleasantly surprised to find a large coffee shop in this tiny place.
More sophisticated than it's name suggests, the Coffee Shack is a diner-style café, with plentiful seating for doggy visitors on the covered back patio.
The blueberry muffin, although packed with berries, had a disappointingly dense texture (as is often the case with vegan recipes) and the coffee was a bold full-bodied brew.
The Coffee Shack has just opened another location in Chemainus, in addition to those in Saltair and Langford. We hope to try them all eventually as we travel around Vancouver Island!
